School closed except to children of critical workers and vulnerable children
5th January 2021
Dear parents & carers,
I hope that you had a good Christmas holiday and I would like to wish you all the very best for 2021. I know that we all hope that things improve in the coming months and we look forward to a happier and safer time. However, I’m sure we are all concerned about the current situation regarding the virus and the necessary steps which we must take to keep our communities safe.
Following last night’s announcement by the Prime Minister that schools will be closed to the vast majority of children, I will be issuing information later today about remote learning following our Remote Education Policy published last half term.
From Thursday 7th January school will be open only for children of critical workers and those identified as vulnerable. We will be planning staffing and putting arrangements for this in place following careful risk assessment.
If you are a critical worker and will require your child(ren) to attend school, please let me know as soon as possible and by 5pm today at the latest. You can do this by emailing me firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling me on 07391122897. It would be helpful if you provide the following information; name of child(ren), year group(s) and which days you will require your child(ren) to be in school. We will confirm places and provide further details, as well as contact parents/ carers of those children identified as vulnerable, as soon as we are able to.
Thank you for your continuing support.
