'We Are Readers Week' - week begninning Monday 12th April 2021
Please could send a photo of your child enjoying a favourite book (via class dojo messaging or add to your child's portfolio) We are creating a display in our classroom to showcase our early reading skills, enjoyment and engagement with books and reading.

Settling in well on return to Nursery!
Fantastic 'book time' sessions
Positive play and interaction in small groups - reconnecting and learning together
Lots of physical activity and use of outdoor equipment: running, jumping, hopping, balancing, rolling, sliding and climbing
Beautiful creative work - creating colourful flowers for cards and love hearts (using a range of creative and fine motor skills)
Marvellous mark making - drawing and writing for different purposes
Developing self-confidence and self-esteem - trying new things!

Highlights:
Book time sessions – We are developing our early reading skills, interest and enjoyment of books.
Role Play Areas promote speaking and listening, communication, peer relationships and interaction
Circle time activities – Children are becoming more able to express how they are feeling and why
Personal, social and emotional development – Adjusting to nursery life after lockdown and welcoming and supporting new friends who have joined our class
