COVID testing

We have recently had a number of telephone calls from parents/carers who seem unaware that children with COVID-19 symptoms need to be taken for a PCR test after booking at a test centre. Lateral flow tests done at home do not provide a negative result and are not suitable for people with symptoms.

We must reiterate that anybody with symptoms MUST isolate along with their family bubble for ten days or until a negative PCR test result is received. Anybody who has a positive PCR test result must continue to isolate for the periods stated in the guidelines.

Please help school to remain as safe as possible and reduce the risk of transmission and closure of bubbles which can result in whole classes, their parents/carers, siblings and staff having to self isolate.
