Home Learning During School Closure

Here’s our learning timetable for the week ahead. Remember to keep checking Seesaw as I’ll be posting supplementary activities for you to try over there too…

Timetables should open from laptops and computers but might not work on devices like phones and tablets. It might be easier to use the timetable to find each day’s activities, and then use the Read Write Inc Phonics and BBC Bitesize websites individually by clicking on the links here:

Read Write Inc Phonics Lessons

BBC Bitesize Lessons

Here are our learning timetables for the last few weeks. Some of the activities may no longer be accessible but send me a message on Seesaw or Dojo if you can’t find what you’re looking for and hopefully I’ll be able to help you…

Please also look at this advice from Miss Mather about home learning as it may help you to address some of the challenges you and your children might be facing at the moment

Unfortunately teachers are not able to view the BBC Bitesize and Read Write Inc activities very far in advance, but we do know that some of the activities are likely to be very tricky and ask the children to use skills that they have not yet been taught at school this year. We’re sorry about this, but please do not worry about it: get in touch with me via Seesaw or Class Dojo so I can help as best I can. I will be posting accompanying or alternative activities on Seesaw to go along with the Bitesize materials as much as I can, so do please try to make sure you’ve signed up to Seesaw so you don’t miss out on them. It’s a really fun app and the learners have been producing some lovely work there. Check it out and don’t forget to leave each other comments!

I’d really appreciate any feedback about how you’re finding this new way of working, so please let us know how it’s going for you and your families so we can make it as meaningful for you all as possible.

We hope you’re all doing ok and looking after one another. We all miss being at school as much as you do and are looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Take care

Mr Ellis, Ms Martin, Ms Qureshi, Ms Sadiq and Max the Puppy
