Free School Meals during school closure

Parents eligible for Free school Meals (FSM) for financial reasons are still eligible for a free meal each day during the school closure, whether or not the children attend school.

We will provide, on request, a packed lunch for any child eligible for FSM which must be collected from the school office at 12.30pm by a single family representative and then taken home for consumption by the child. Please do not bring your child to school.

In order to reduce wastage of food at this critical time, and given we have limited staff in school in line with social distancing to slow down the spread of COVID-19, we will not prepare meals unless they have been requested before 10.30am by reply to the daily text sent from school.

In the event that you are not able to access a mobile telephone to receive texts, please contact us via other means to advise if the meal is required.

Please note that this specifically does not relate to Universal Infant Free School meals available to all Reception, Year One and Year Two pupils.

We urge all parents and carers to respect and abide by the advice being issued by the Government regarding social distancing and where necessary self-isolation. This includes keeping your children at home and reducing physical social interaction as much as possible.
