We are ready for Santa!

Santa is expected at tomorrow’s Christmas Fair and hopefully he will be looking at our website to see the lovely grotto our staff have been working hard to create. On the 25th of November, Year 3 joined St Winifred’s RC Primary School on a trip the Z Arts in Hulme, Manchester. We went on a Bear Hunt!

In October children from Nursery, Reception and Year 1 classes went on a theatre visit to see “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt”. This was a new experience for many of our children and all of them really enjoyed the trip and the show! European Day of Languages

All classes in school celebrated European Day of Languages by dressing in clothes of the colour of their assigned country’s flag. Children took part in activities including cookery, basic vocabulary and learning about the country’s traditions. In Year 1 they also did some maths work linked to statistics.

EYFS and Year 1 enjoy a Morning at the Theatre

Children from our early years classes enjoyed a fantastic morning at the Waterside Theatre in Sale. They watched a performance of Stickman, a play based on the children’s book of the same name, by Julia Donaldson. .
