On Thursday 26th September we will celebrate European Day of Languages 2019 throughout school. We would like all children and staff to dress in the colours of the French flag – blue, white and red. There will be lots of language activities going on in classes and we are sure it will be a great day. Merci beaucoup!
After another very successful year at Mersey Vale we would like to wish our whole school community a very happy holiday. School closes on Friday 26th July and reopens to children on Tuesday 3rd September. Have a lovely summer everyone!
Since 2016 we have been working hard to develop and strengthen our partnership with parents. We are delighted to inform you that last half term, following a rigorous assessment process including; presentation to assessor, feedback from children, parents, staff and parent governor, tour of school and scrutiny of evidence collated from the past two years we were awarded the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA).

Safa in Y5 was presented with a children’s cookbook in assembly this morning as she created a fantastic menu for a healthy school meal in a competition run by Stockport School Meal’s Service. Well done Safa!
To highlight Manchester being European City of Science 2016 everyone in school joined thousands of children across Greater Manchester to sing a special song together at 2pm today.
